Jessie Punch currently works for NASCAR Media Ventures in Charlotte, North Carolina as a Production Assistant with the International Department. As a member of the International Team, Jessie produces content for 200 partnering countries, including highlight packages and live races each weekend. She also hosts a weekly international television show called “The Pace Lap” covering all the action from the previous races and chatting fun facts, stats, and everything fans need to know about the upcoming weekend’s events.

Jessie came to NASCAR from Denver, Colorado, where she served as the On-Air Talent and Broadcasting Coordinator of the Western Athletic Conference Digital Network. She traveled all over the Midwest and West Coast working as a sideline reporter for WAC Championships and covering a wide variety of sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, track and field, and tennis. She also wrote, produced, edited, and hosted weekly shows on the WAC Digital Network showing highlights, current standings, and previewing the upcoming week. Jessie also played a large role in the growth and development of the conference’s social media presence and regularly created and distributed content on all of the conference’s online platforms.

Jessie graduated from Clemson University in the spring of 2016 with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Spanish. Already ambitious for a career in broadcasting, she began working internships as early as freshman year. Through her four years of college, she gained experience working in newsrooms, hosting a studio sports show, producing stories around campus, creating content for the Clemson Football Recruiting Department, and even building and coordinating entertainment based social media accounts.

Jessie has a vast understanding of both the game and the industry, and through watching her father’s career and example, has been immersed in sports and media since she was young. Growing up with five brothers, Jessie has always had an enthusiasm for competition and a tough mentality, which now translate to strengths in the work place. Driven by curiosity and a deep respect for athletics, she thrives off the excitement of the game, but also the stories and the people beyond the statistics.
